I now have ec2onrails instance running in the States, it's ok for now since it's closed for visitors anyway. There was no public AMI for ec2onrails in Europe and I wasn't motivated enough to wrap it myself (never created my own AMI before so it would take some trial and error and time). I hope someone port it before I need it for the launch, otherwise I will have to do it myself.. No, in Europe I launched standard instance just to ping it.
