Artist at work
So I had this unexpected visit to Wroclaw and I called Agata, a designer I cooperate with, who lives there. My call found her in an obscure corner of the Wroclaw’s Academy of Arts.

Instead of thinking about my apartment, which is in urgent need of being thought about, because the deadlines are approaching, Agata was performing Art for an exhibition a week away. I decided to pay a visit to see how the Art is performed.
On the spot it was apparent that lots of machines, and especially press, were involved in the process. “When rolling over the paper the press cannot be allowed to stop”.

Not much Art was produced till I arrived because for some reason the pattern on paper was getting shifted under the press and the result was low quality and useless. When I arrived Agata decided to change the force of the press.

It worked. I took the credit for the outcome because I brought her luck.

It was quite late though, and not much copies could be made before the building was to close. Each copy requires quite a lot of effort: clean the press from the previous copy, distribute the paint on the cyllinder, paint the template with the cyllinder, put template on the press, put paper on the template, roll over with the press.

These copies are far from final result. To get final, they will be later manually painted. It’s a pity, but I will probably not have an opportunity to see the final result.
